On Thursday 1st December we hosted our third Rathfriland High’s Got Talent and what a night it was with the Assembly Hall filled to the brim! Ten fabulous acts performed and our lovely panel of judges Mr Wilson (aka Gary Barlow), Mr Barron (aka Simon Cowell), Mrs Wilson (aka Cheryl Cole) and celebrity guest John McCallister (aka Louis Walsh) gave their thoughts on each.
Whilst the judges were making their decision a ridiculous Staff Act comprising of 18 members of staff took to the stage to bring a little hilarity to the proceedings! We then had the privilege of hearing Rebecca Boyle, last year’s winner perform Hurt by Christina Aguilera.
Finally, the winner was announced and Rachel Clydesdale was crowned winner of Rathfriland High’s Got Talent 2011 with her wonderful version of Adele’s Make You Feel My Love.
In second place came the cheeky chappy James Boyd and James Frazer and Natalya Hamilton came joint 3rd.
The acts all did fantastically and gave it their all and it was a great night! Miss Wilson and Mrs Hawthorne would like to thank all who took part and all those members of staff who helped with the night.
