From the 3rd to 7th October Year 8-10 pupils at Rathfriland High School took part in a sponsored Read On. This involves pupils reading in their English classes and their spare time to raise money for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.
A variety of events took place this week to promote reading but also to raise money for charity. Pupils had a special visit from the storyteller Steve Lally who worked with the pupils on the themes of myths and legends. Other activities included competitions, quizzes and films at lunchtimes.
Well done to the pupils in raising so much money for this worthwhile charity!
