On May 21st 2009, 18 year ten pupils, who wish to study Home Economics next year, went with Miss Patterson and MRS Donaldson to an International Food Fest. This took place at the School of Hospitality & Tourism at the Southern Regional Collage on Newry Campus.
Along with pupils from other schools, our pupils were able to watch cookery demonstrations from chefs around the world, walk around the kitchens and sample the different dishes. There was also the opportunity to discuss careers opportunities and courses available for catering at the School of hospitality and Tourism.
Everyone had a great Time and came back to school with great ideas, better insight into the catering industry, and filled bellies! Many thanks to the School of Hospitality and tourism, for their hospitality.
