On Monday 27th June, we welcomed five of our local Primary Schools to contest a Football tournament marking the school’s 6oth Anniversary. The weather was kind and the football on display was of a high standard. Drumandonnell P.S. lost a close Plate semi-final vs. Ballydown P.S., who subsequently lost an equally close encounter in the Plate final against winners, Newcastle P.S.
The Cup final was contested between Iveagh and Bronte, with Bronte coming out on top 3-2.
There were a number of excellent performances from all teams and some excellent individual display. Congratulations to Bronte’s Rowan Meeke, who won overall Player of the Tournament. We would like to thank all of the participating school’s for attending what we hope to be an annual event.
