Years 8, 9 and 10 have had fun celebrating Math's and Numeracy week.
Year 10 took part in a whole year group multiplication challenge where they took on other pupils in their year group in online multiplication games. By taking part in this, Year 10 pushed Rathfriland High School to the top of the UK Leaderboard for that week.

Year 9 did mathematical activities across the curriculum, taking part in a mathematical task in every subject that they study. They enjoyed seeing how math's filters into every other subject in the school.
Year 8 took part in a carousel of mathematical activities, competing against their class mates to be the winning team. The 3 winning groups from each class then took part in “the Chase” where each group took on a different chaser in the form of Mr Matthews, Mr Richardson and Miss Bready. Each group performance was excellent, and all three pupil groups came out on top and beat the chaser. Their reward was a trip to the Milestone for their break.
We hope all pupils involved have enjoyed seeing math's come to life and have observed the relevance of what they learn within the Mathematics classroom.
