Rathfriland High School is delighted to be receiving an extension and improvement to our facilities.
The extension to our Science facilities will provide an additional laboratory and preparation area. This enhancement will equip the Science department with the resources they need to continue to offer first class provision at Key Stages 3 and 4. The building work will also see the addition of new boys’ and girls’ toilet facilities and the relocation of the school greenhouse.
Principal Mr Ian Matthews commented "I am delighted with the plan to further develop our school site and I know that the additional teaching space will provide greater flexibility in the delivery of a wide range of Science classes. The new Science lab, along with the new toilet facilities reflect our continued growth as a school and will be a huge benefit to pupils and staff. We look forward to the next stage of the process, which will start after the Easter holidays."
