Outward Bound Trip April 2008
On the 7th April we travelled to Ullswater in the
The first activity that we took part in was jumping into a freezing cold lake. It was brilliant! Then we did different activities to make our team work stronger.
The next day we went canoeing down the lake and went rock climbing.
On the Wednesday we all got ready to go for a long walk up Sheffield Pike. We camped there over night and we woke up in the snow! After breakfast we started to make our way down the mountain. This task was very hard but when we got through it we saw that we could do anything that we want to do. It was a real achievement for many of us.
On the Thursday, after coming back from the walk, we were challenged to climb Jacobs’s Ladder. It was difficult for some people but easy for others. In the evening we went orienteering, it was challenging but interesting.
On the Friday, the last day of the trip we were given a team building activity to work at in our groups. Here we had to build a raft and sail it across the lake. Afterwards we headed to the airport for our journey home.
All of the pupils who went on the Outward Bound trip enjoyed themselves. What an experience!
