Rathfriland High SU’s Gameshow Marathon!
Wednesday 29th February to Friday 2nd March 2012
Everyone loves a good gameshow and boy did we play a few during our SU mission week! Million Pound Drop, Family Fortunes and Deal or No Deal were played at lunchtimes in the assembly hall with prizes ranging from £50 in cash to a toenail! Each lunchtime a schools team from Crown Jesus Ministries hosted our gameshow and shared a thought about God’s plan for our lives. On Wednesday Sarah Hetherington from Year 9 won herself a Hollister hoodie when she triumphed in the Million Pound Drop. On Thursday the girls reigned victorious in Family Fortunes and on Friday poor Jamie Bicker won only a packet of Love Hearts as he played Deal or No Deal. These lunchtime events were really well attended with around 200 pupils attending each.
We rounded off our mission with a Gameshow Marathon Finale on Friday 2nd March. Around 90 pupils attended and much fun was had! We played Brucie’s Price is Right, The Cube, Supermarket Sweep and Red or Black. Mrs Johnston’s team came out on top! Andrew Irvine from Portadown spoke to us about God’s plan for our lives and the life choices we need to make which finished off a great night!
