School will reopen tomorrow (Tuesday 15th March)
The loss of electricity to the school this morning, leading to the closure of the school, was a result of heavy rainfall and a problem with drainage. Workers were on site quickly this morning and have removed the excess water and restored the electricity supply.
School will reopen tomorrow (Tuesday 15th March), as usual and we look forward to welcoming pupils back in the morning.
The power outage today also affected the school computer servers, meaning we were unable to notify parents using the ‘SIMS Parent App’ and that staff and pupils were unable to access their documents remotely. We had to rely on the school website and Facebook pages, along with ‘word of mouth’ to spread the message. Thank you to all those who assisted with this process.
