Sports Day 2023
The school recently held our annual Sports Day, enjoying some fantastic weather, on a great day of sporting competition. The winning house in the end was Knock, although as you can see below the results were incredibly close!

Y8
Girl – Olivia Stewart – 25 points (1 point ahead of Ella-may Riley)
Boy – Ben Megaw – 28 points
Y9
Girl – Isabella Macauley – 35 points (Max points, 5 gold medals)
Boy – Oliver Skelly – 24 points (Tied on points with Dale Rowan, split on gold medals, Oliver 2, Dale 1).
Y10
Girl – Eden Kernaghan – 28 points
Boy – Seth Henning – 29 Points
Y11
Girl – Jessica Henning – 28 points (Tied on points with Olivia Robinson, split on gold medals, Jessica 3, Olivia 2).
Boy – Thomas Skelly – 35 points (Max Points, 5 gold medals
Records
Isabella Macauley in Y9, set a new Junior Girls record in the 400m, with a time of 1 minute and 13 seconds. This broke the previous record set by Angela Dodds in 2009 by only .61 of a second.
Aimee Wallace in Y10, set a new Senior Girls record in the Discus, with a throw of 20.92m, beating the previous record of 19.44m, set by Danielle Megaw in 2017 by 1.48m.
Cody Barr broke two records, firstly in the 800m, with a time of 2 minutes and 19 seconds, 6 seconds faster than the previous record set by Leon Mark in 2016.
Then in the 400m, with a time of 58.7 seconds, .24 of a second faster than the previous record set by William Singer in 2019.
Well done to everyone that competed and thanks also to @Kelugos Mini-donuts for supplying us with an endless supply of ice cream and donuts on the day. Also, to Andy Prescott for supplying the sound system free of charge.
