Year 10 Group Win Young Enterprise award for Highest Sales
Since September, Year 10 have been engaged with Young Enterprise and have bought in and sold goods in school. Following on from their sales success in RHS , one of our groups - Lee, Samuel, Jessica, Jack, Bradley, Jemma, Roxie and Rebekah otherwise known as Wristbandz 4 U, along with Mrs Budde, had the opportunity of taking their Quickstart Enterprise to Rushmere Shopping Centre, to showcase their products and to compete for sales with other schools within the district. On Friday 8th February they set off laden with props, a video, buckets of enthusiasm and of course their Wristbands!
The group chose the slogan ‘Wrist It’ for their Quickstart Enterprise because they want their business to take risks by publicising and supporting causes which are stigmatised, such as mental health, through the sale of wristbands. This sentiment seemed to resonate with the public in Craigavon as the group’s wristbands sold out within a couple of hours! A meaningful product, appropriate pricing strategy, clever advertising and great salesmanship led to this wonderful lot winning the Young Enterprise award for Highest Sales! A just reward for an innovative and hardworking, entrepreneurial group who want to do some good through their business.
Thanks must go to Mrs Budde for all of her guidance and help and to other staff members for their time and effort with displays.
Well done to all involved!
