Year 11 Geography Fieldtrip
On Monday 30th April 2012, the Year 11 Geography class accompanied by Mrs Tumilty and Mr Barron, set out on the annual fieldtrip to the River Shimna. They visited four sites along the course of the river. There was a cold and dull start at Site 1 near Spelga Dam, but the weather soon picked up and everyone worked really well to collect the data. Special mention must go to Steven Bready who was prepared to get a little bit wet at Site 4 in collecting the velocity data for the class.
Mrs Tumilty and the Year 11 class would also like to thank the group of Year 10 students who came along to assist the small Year 11 class. The GCSE group are now in the process of writing up their findings as part of their Controlled Assessment for their GCSE Geography.
