Monday saw our Year 8 Rugby team play their second league game of the season vs. Tandragee Junior High School. The boys have been developing their skills over the last number of weeks and despite losing their opening game of the season, have shown great willingness to work hard in training sessions to improve. This hard work paid off as they started the game with an excellent level of intensity, quickly taking the lead through a display of solid defence and good ball handling skills in what were difficult conditions.
Our opening try was scored by Man of the Match, Oliver Skelly, who would go on to score two more before having to be subbed off due to injury. We would like to commend Oliver for his bravery and his performance and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Our other try scorers on the day were Ryan Johnston x 3, Alex Irwin x 2 and Alfie Herron. Well done to all of the boys however, in what was an excellent team performance.
