U14 Rugby Quarter Final Success

3rd Feb 2023
U14 Rugby Quarter Final Success

We are celebrating the success of our U14 Rugby team, who came out on the right side of a 39 -12 score line vs. Fivemiletown College. It was a brusingly physical encounter, with Fivemiletown making use of their sizeable pack to gain yards in tight areas. Although no quarter was given from the boys, we found success by moving the ball into the wide channels, where the boys exploited the space with great effect. That being said this, space was created by the excellent work of Ryan Johnston, Alex Irwin, Charlie Stevenson and captain Jack McConnell.

There were a number of pleasing performances from across the squad with tries being scored by Elliot Hutchinson (x4), Charlie Smyth (x2) and Jamie Graham. With two conversions by Ethan Stewart.

Man of the match was not a difficult decision on this occasion. Elliot Hutchinson picks up the award, for not only his four tries, but also his work rate and effectiveness in every aspect of the game. Well done to all involved.

We now look forward to our second semi-final in as many years and wish the boys success in their preparations for the game.
