U14 Rugby Success

17th Oct 2022

Our U14 Rugby team took to the field last Friday in their first game of the new season, against Banbridge High School. The boys have been working very hard over the last month or so of training and that endeavour paid off in a sparkling performance of fast paced, fluid, attacking rugby. It was also pleasing to see that throughout the game we were able to use a total of 25 players, with all doing their part when they came on. Our try scorers on the day were: Oliver Skelly x 1, Logan Waddell x1, Jamie Graham x1, Charlie Smyth x1, Ryan Johnston x2, with all conversions successful from the boots of Ethan Stewart and Jack McConnell. Player of the match went to Charlie Stevenson, who although didn’t get himself on the score sheet, got through a mountain of work and assisted two of the trys.

Credit also to Banbridge, who came back into the game in the second half, scoring three trys of their own.
